Job summary

CompucomStaffing in Lafayette, IN is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to provide on-site IT support at the client site. The role involves repairing, imaging, and troubleshooting PCs, laptops, and printers, plus assisting end users with software issues.

You will configure hardware, manage imaging tasks, and handle installations and small upgrades while maintaining ticketing workflows. Lifts up to 40 lbs may be required in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3 to 6+ years’ experience supporting PC hardware and software, pleasant with limited server/network equipment support.
• Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and replace PC hardware components and software issues.

Responsibilities

• Repair, test, image and clean PCs, laptops, monitors, printers, and related hardware.
• Troubleshoot software and peripherals; configure and add hardware as needed.
• Perform installations, moves, adds and changes; participate in upgrades and maintenance.
• Provide on-site end-user support and address tickets with follow-up when needed.
• Assist with server equipment maintenance and network troubleshooting as required.
