Job summary

TEKsystems is partnering with a local company in La Crosse in the search for an onsite Desktop Support Specialist. The technician will diagnose, fix, and maintain laptops, tablets, and desktops, provide technical support to users, and guide them to resolve hardware and software issues.

Responsibilities include on-site assistance, inventory management, and preparing equipment for shipping or relocation, with shifts Monday–Friday and 8am–5pm or 2pm–11pm.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in IT or 2 years IT support experience in a professional environment
• Student work, internship, or help desk experience acceptable for fulfilling the degree requirement

Responsibilities

• Manages technical equipment updates, cloning, and repairs
• Troubleshoots and provides phone-based support for internal and external users
• Acts as first point of contact for technical issues, gathers incident details and routes to appropriate team
• Provides on-site technical support and assists helpdesk with inventory, hardware/software support and user assistance
