Job summary

TEKsystems in Frankfort, KY is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to provide onsite end-user support, install and configure desktops, laptops, peripherals, and mobile devices. You will troubleshoot OS and application issues and document incidents in a ticketing system.

You will collaborate with internal teams in a fast-paced environment, deliver excellent customer service, and ensure timely issue resolution for a fully onsite, contract-based role in the Frankfort area.

Qualifications

• Experience providing desktop, technical, or end-user support.
• Strong troubleshooting skills relating to hardware, software, and workstation issues.
• Experience configuring, installing, and supporting desktop and mobile devices.
• Familiarity with operating systems, productivity applications, and common business technologies.
• Experience working with service request or incident management systems.
• Basic understanding of network connectivity and troubleshooting concepts.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced support environment and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite technical support for end users experiencing hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Install, configure, deploy, and maintain desktops, laptops, peripherals, and mobile devices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operating system, application, and workstation-related problems.
• Support hardware replacements, upgrades, and equipment deployments.
• Respond to and document support requests through a ticket management system.
• Assist users with account access, software functionality, and general technology-related issues.
• Perform equipment setup, configuration, imaging, and deployment activities.
• Troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues and coordinate escalations when required.
• Support printers, peripherals, and other end-user technology devices.
• Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, resolutions, and support procedures.
• Collaborate with internal technology teams to ensure timely issue resolution and customer satisfaction.
