Job summary

Compucom Systems, Inc. in Houston, TX is seeking a Level 2 Desktop Technician to provide onsite support and resolve complex hardware and software issues on laptops, desktops, tablets, smartphones and printers.

You may also handle server/network tasks and drive problem resolution with stakeholders. The ideal candidate has an Associate's degree or equivalent in CS/IT, 3+ years in desktop/infrastructure support, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent experience in CS/IT preferred.
• Minimum 3+ years of related field experience.
• Desktop and/or infrastructure support experience.
• Effective written and verbal communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses hardware, software and systems failures using established procedures.
• Performed service, repair and installation of computer products including hardware, printers, PCs and mobile devices.
• Manage user accounts and permissions; perform password resets.
• Document issues and updates in ticketing systems.
• Communicate with customers at all levels including executives and engineers.
• Provide status updates per SLA guidelines.
• Serve as first escalation point for high-priority problems and coordinate with L3/Managers.
• Follow SOPs using knowledge management.
• Collaborate with teams across the organization.
