Job summary

Compucom Systems, Inc. is seeking a Level I Desktop Technician to provide on-site IT support at our Columbus, OH location. You will troubleshoot basic hardware and software issues, assist with user accounts, and document issues in the ticketing system.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent
• Desktop and/or Infrastructure support experience
• Ability to communicate with stakeholders
• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks with attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Diagnose hardware, software, and systems failures using established procedures
• Install/repair/upgrade computer products including printers and devices
• Manage user accounts and permissions; password resets
• Update tickets with notes and status per SLA
• Communicate with customers across skill levels
• Provide status updates per SLA
• Escalate complex issues to L2 or management
• Follow SOPs via knowledge management
• Collaborate across the organization
