Job summary

Compucom Systems, Inc. is seeking a Level I Desktop Technician to provide onsite IT support in San Antonio, TX. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing hardware/software, account management, and documenting issues in ticketing systems.

The role requires strong communication and the ability to work with varied stakeholders. The position offers standard benefits and requires working knowledge of Windows, Office, and networking.

Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred or equivalent experience in Computer Science or Information Technology
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, networks, databases and security concepts and tools
• Desktop and/or Infrastructure support experience; ability to document and communicate effectively
• Experience with account management or credentialing and knowledge of SOPs

Responsibilities

• Diagnose hardware, software and system failures using established procedures
• Install and repair computer hardware and software including printers and devices
• Manage user accounts and permissions; perform password resets
• Document issues and updates via ticketing systems
• Communicate with customers at all levels of technical and non-technical skill sets
• Escalate complex issues to L2 or management when needed
• Follow SOPs and collaborate across the organization
