Job summary

CompucomStaffing is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to provide on-site technical assistance in Lafayette, IN. You will repair, image, and configure PCs, laptops, and printers, while delivering face-to-face end-user support and resolving software issues.

The role requires 3–6+ years in enterprise PC/hardware support, solid troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Local travel to client sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience with asset management and end-user hardware support.
• 3–6+ years supporting PC hardware and software in an enterprise setting.
• Proficient in diagnosing and replacing PC hardware components and related software issues.
• Experience with imaging, deployment, and ticketing systems.

Responsibilities

• Repair, test, image and clean PCs, laptops, monitors and printers.
• Troubleshoot software and peripherals; set up and configure hardware.
• Support end users in-person, on-site at the customer site.
• Assist with server hardware maintenance, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
• Handle network-related diagnoses and basic system administration tasks.
• Follow established procedures and escalate when needed.
