Job summary

TEK Systems is seeking Data Center Technicians at multiple experience levels to support installation, maintenance, and operation of critical data center infrastructure in Barstow, TX. Responsibilities include rack-and-stack, cabling, monitoring, troubleshooting, and adherence to SOPs and change control.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, basic hardware and networking knowledge, strong troubleshooting, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Basic understanding of computer hardware and networking concepts.
• Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds.
• Preferred certifications: CompTIA A+ and Network+.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, rack, stack, and decommission servers, storage and network gear.
• Perform cable installation, management, labeling, and documentation.
• Monitor data center hardware and respond to alerts.
• Troubleshoot hardware failures and coordinate replacements.
• Follow SOPs, maintenance windows, and change management.
• Maintain accurate inventory and asset records.
• Support security, compliance, and environmental requirements.
