Job summary

TEKsystems, hiring for an Intermediate Data Center Technician, seeks hands-on IT professionals to operate in a Goodyear, AZ data center. The role emphasizes hardware troubleshooting, installations, diagnostics and documentation to support data center operations onsite.

Ideal candidates have at least 6 months IT experience, a passion for technology, and comfort with physical upgrades. This is a contract position offering competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits, with duties spanning

Qualifications

Intermediate Level (Minimum of 6 months of IT experience)
Hands-on troubleshooting experience with computer or server hardware preferred
Willingness to work in a Data Center environment

Responsibilities

Address customer inquiries via support tickets from inception through resolution with minimal supervision
Support data center operations and IT systems, network services and business critical processes
Provide technical and operational support related to colocation, connectivity and network products
Support internal networks, IT infrastructure, computers, electronics, and telephone systems
Install and deploy IT and network hardware
Make and test patch cables and verify cable paths
Support maintenance of infrastructure and network services including break-fix work
Perform Data Center hardware and inventory audits
