Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Data Center Technician for an onsite contract role in Red Oak, TX. Responsibilities include monitoring hardware, following procedures for decommissioning, and performing basic startups/shutdowns per written instructions and leads guidance.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, basic hardware knowledge, and familiarity with Microsoft Office. Associate degree preferred. This is a fully onsite role with benefits and an anticipated deadline of Sep 8, 2026.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers and components.
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Associate’s degree preferred or equivalent training.

Responsibilities

• Monitor system for equipment failure or errors in performance.
• Respond to program error messages by finding and correcting problems or terminating the program.
• Assist programmers and systems analysts to test and debug new programs.
• Operate spreadsheet programs to load/manipulate data and produce reports.
