Job summary

UIP Companies, Inc. is seeking a motivated Community Manager for our Canvas property in Hyattsville, MD. You will oversee business operations, budgets, and resident services to drive occupancy and financial performance while delivering exceptional service to residents.

Reports to Regional Director/VP; onsite hours are typical, and compensation includes a salary of $85,000 to $95,000 with bonuses/commission eligibility. Knowledge of Yardi is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.
• 3+ years’ experience as a residential property manager in DC/MD/VA.
• Experience with Yardi or similar PM software.
• Proven success meeting performance goals and customer service expectations.
• CPM/ARM/RPA certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy strategies to optimize community, financial, and team performance.
• Prepare and monitor annual budgets and occupancy targets.
• Create marketing initiatives to attract residents.
• Ensure excellent resident service and address issues promptly.
• Supervise Service and Leasing teams to optimize performance.
• Manage security and physical condition of properties, including improvements.
• Train and coach employees and ensure SOP compliance.
• Build relationships with owners, residents, vendors.
• Use metrics to diagnose issues and report performance.
• Ensure Office operations run smoothly.
• Collect rents, process move-ins/outs, and handle delinquencies/ renewals.
• Complete monthly financials and variance reports.
