Job summary

Hines is seeking a Senior Community Manager in Baltimore, MD to oversee daily property operations, lead a team, and drive financial and operational performance. You will manage budgets, rent collection, contracts, and maintenance while ensuring compliance with policies and industry standards.

The role requires 5+ years in residential property management, strong leadership, and excellent communication. On-site work five days a week with opportunities for bonuses and career growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: high school diploma; college degree is a plus.
• Five+ years as a residential community/property manager or leadership role in related industry.
• Experience managing 400+ units, single or combined sites.
• Entrata experience a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management software to complete reports.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and support to team members to meet and exceed expectations.
• Develop budgets by analyzing financial statements and reports.
• Meet revenue targets by setting rent rates and ensuring collection of rents and fees.
• Approve vendor invoices and manage payments and insurance certificates.
• Balance expenditures within approved budget.
• Oversee lease enforcement, applications, renewals, inspections, notices, and evictions.
• Respond to complaints and service requests to promote resident satisfaction and retention.
• Ensure maintenance team compliance with company standards.
• Conduct regular property inspections for safety and appearance.
• Engage with owners, provide performance updates, and respond to requests.
• Report on property performance and address client concerns.
• Lead hiring, training, and performance management.
• Conduct pricing reviews to meet market and ownership goals.
• Engage in local apartment associations to stay updated on jurisdictional requirements.
