Job summary

RPM Living seeks an Assistant Community Manager in Houston to greet prospects, help with applications, and manage leases and renewals, ensuring smooth move-ins and high resident satisfaction.

You will handle rent collections, evictions when necessary, and promote the property online and through marketing efforts. A customer-service orientation and knowledge of Fair Housing are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of experience in customer service or apartment leasing.
• Accounting background plus customer service is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with project management tools.

Responsibilities

• Greet and qualify prospects using guest cards; assist with applications and deposits following procedures and Fair Housing rules.
• Process applications (credit checks, rental history) and submit for Community Manager approval; follow up on status.
• Show apartments, close sales, prepare units for move-in, and obtain signatures on paperwork.
• Manage lease renewals, issue renewal notices, and handle move-outs; keep PM software updated.
• Oversee rental collections, enforce lease terms, track fees, and initiate evictions when needed.
• Respond promptly to resident questions and issues to improve satisfaction and retention.
• Follow eviction procedures and assist with court representation as needed.
• Conduct market research and update Radix as needed; support outreach marketing.
• Maintain an active social media presence to enhance visibility and engagement; complete lease-related paperwork in a timely manner.
