Job summary

RPM Living is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to greet prospects, process applications, manage leases and renewals, and drive resident satisfaction. The role includes handling rent collections, evictions, and ensuring accurate data in management systems.

A background in customer service or leasing, plus basic accounting, is preferred. The position is on-site with a flexible schedule, including some weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of experience in customer service or apartment leasing.
• Accounting background is a plus; proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic project management.

Responsibilities

• Greet and qualify prospects professionally using guest cards in our Lead Management Software; assist prospects with applications and deposits, adhering to procedures and Fair Housing requirements.
• Keep an updated availability report; process applications (including credit checks and rental history), submit for Community Manager approval, and follow up with applicants.
• Show apartments and close sale; prepare them for move-ins; obtain signatures and provide community orientation.
• Manage lease renewals; send renewal notices; handle move-outs; apply fees; keep management software updated.
• Manage rental collections; enforce lease terms; track fees; initiate eviction when needed for financial compliance and revenue optimization.
• Promote resident satisfaction and retention by promptly responding to complaints and requests and taking appropriate actions to resolve issues.
• Follow eviction procedures, including notices, court representation, and proceedings as needed.
• Conduct market research by surveying competing properties and implementing outreach marketing; update Radix as needed.
• Assist in maintaining an active social media presence for property visibility and engagement; complete paperwork for leases, move-ins, check-outs, and peak periods.
