Job summary

Asset Living is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to oversee the daily operations and financial functions of a housing community under the Community Manager. You will help delinquency control, manage staff, leasing, maintenance, and risk compliance.

The role requires coordinating across departments, posting payments, reconciling accounts, and supporting budget goals while ensuring resident satisfaction and adherence to housing laws.

Qualifications

• Education and experience requirements for the housing industry.
• Basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and finances of the housing community under Community Manager supervision.
• Assist in delinquency and rent collection to optimize cash flow.
• Supervise onsite staff and ensure compliance with company policies and safety guidelines.
• Support budgeting and revenue/expense tracking to meet NOI goals.
• Handle leasing processes, resident relations, and move-ins/outs.
• Prepare end-of-month closings and maintain accurate records.
• Screen, hire, train, and coach onsite staff according to company directives.
• Respond to resident concerns and develop retention programs.

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or two years experience in the housing industry; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
