Job summary

Asset Living is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to oversee daily operations and the financial functions of a housing community under the supervision of the Community Manager.

You will manage all phases of operations, including personnel, leasing, maintenance, financial reporting, and risk management in the absence of the Community Manager. An onsite leader, you will supervise staff to ensure compliance with policies, safety, and fair housing guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred or two years experience in the housing industry; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to understand and perform all onsite software functions; basic computer skills required.
• Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Post payments and income accurately from applicants and residents.
• Process and reconcile daily accounts receivable.
• Monitor and follow up on bad debt, including late notices and evictions.
• Assist property in meeting budgeted revenues, expenses, and Net Operating Income.
• Post charges to accounts and bill back utilities where applicable.
• Complete end-of-month closing procedures and reporting.
• Maintain organized resident files and walk units for move-out charges and deposits.
• Supervise onsite staff and train/coaching in line with company directives.
• Develop leasing strategies and ensure timely signing and documentation of leases.
• Monitor service requests and oversee maintenance responsiveness.
• Ensure compliance with policies, safety, and fair housing guidelines.
