Job summary

Asset Living is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to oversee daily operations and financial functions under the Community Manager. You will manage rent collections, budgets, and staff performance while ensuring compliance with policies and fair housing guidelines onsite.

This role emphasizes strategic leasing, resident relations, and hands-on supervision of maintenance and staff, with a focus on delivering excellent customer service and maintaining property standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and perform all onsite software functions; basic computer skills required.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Post payments and income accurately from residents and applicants.
• Process and reconcile daily accounts receivable.
• Monitor bad debt and follow up on notices, contacts, and evictions.
• Help the property meet budgeted revenues, expenses, and NOI.
• Post charges to resident accounts and bill back utilities when applicable.
• Complete end-of-month closing procedures and produce reports.
• Maintain accurate records and audit resident files.
• Walk units and post move-out charges and refunds.
• Supervise onsite staff and enforce company policies and safety standards.
• Promote effective leasing, marketing, and tenant relations.
• Respond to resident concerns and develop retention programs.
