Job summary

Asset Living in Westerville, OH seeks an Assistant Community Manager to oversee daily operations and financial functions under the Community Manager. You will manage rent collection, budgeting, reporting, and ensure compliance with company policies and fair housing guidelines.

You will supervise onsite staff, assist with leasing, maintenance coordination, and resident relations, while implementing retention programs and marketing strategies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred or two years' housing industry experience.
• Ability to perform onsite software functions and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Post payments and income accurately and timely.
• Process and reconcile daily account receivables.
• Monitor bad debt, issue late notices, and file evictions.
• Help the property meet budgeted revenues, expenses, and NOI.
• Post charges to resident accounts and bill back utilities.
• Perform end-of-month closing procedures and reporting.
• Maintain organized records and audit resident files.
• Walk units, post move-out charges and refunds.
• Screen, hire, train, coach, and develop onsite staff.
• Promote staff development and ensure policy compliance.
• Implement leasing strategies and marketing plans.
• Address resident complaints and retention programs.
• Show, lease, and move in prospective residents.
• Provide excellent customer service and monitor service requests.
