Job summary

Asset Living is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to oversee daily operations under the supervision of the Community Manager. You will manage delinquency and rent collection, supervise onsite staff, and ensure adherence to company policies, safety, and fair housing guidelines.

Key duties include posting payments, reconciling accounts, maintaining records, supervising leasing activities, coordinating maintenance, and supporting budgeting to meet NOI goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or two years in housing industry; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to understand and perform onsite software functions; basic computer skills required.
• Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Post payments and income from applicants and residents accurately, timely, and efficiently.
• Process and reconcile daily accounts receivable.
• Monitor bad debt, issue late notices, and handle evictions.
• Help the property meet budgeted revenues, expenses, and Net Operating Income (NOI).
• Post charges to resident accounts and bill back utilities where applicable.
• Complete end-of-month closing procedures and reporting.
• Walk units and post move-out charges, statements, and security deposits refunds.
