Job summary

Maritz Global Events in Mountain View, CA seeks an Event Manager I to serve as the primary client contact for assigned meetings onsite at the client's campus. You will coordinate logistics from planning through execution and collaborate with Catering, Facilities, Technology & AV, and other partners to meet program objectives.

Ideal candidates bring 2–4 years of event management experience, strong client-relations skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; hospitality or related field preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with professional presentation.
• Proficiency in G Suite and Microsoft Office; ability to learn new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary client contact for assigned meetings, managing logistics from planning through execution.
• Coordinate and guide clients through the event planning process, ensuring timely and accurate communication of details.
• Manage a large volume of small to medium-complex meetings with attention to quality and detail.
• Communicate meeting logistics and task assignments using internal systems and processes.
• Coordinate and attend site inspections to support successful event delivery.
• Collaborate with internal service partners including Catering, Facilities, Technology & AV, Security, Transportation and third-party suppliers.
• Maintain proactive communication with clients to ensure clarity of expectations and satisfaction.
