Job summary

Career Team, LLC in Merced, CA is hiring an Adult and Dislocated Worker Career Advisor to provide career counseling, intensive case management, and follow-up services. You will work onsite under the Executive Director, coordinating intake, eligibility, IEP development, and community referrals.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree (or higher) and 5+ years in operations, strong communication, and proficiency with MS Word/Excel. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of experience in operations.
• Strong communication skills and knowledge about community resources.
• Must be computer literate with MS Word and Excel; ability to learn databases and software systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide information and case management services to the community.
• Complete intake and eligibility determination for workforce program.
• Assess jobseekers’ employment and training needs via interviewing, testing, and other methods.
• Serve as a liaison between workforce programs and community partners.
• Enter data into client information systems and other databases as required by One-Stop system.
• Develop Individual Employment Plans (IEP) based on occupational goals.
• Counsel clients on job opportunities, training programs, and other services.
• Refer individuals to appropriate services and follow up on activities.
• Conduct orientation sessions, workshops, and group presentations for clients.
• Follow policies and ensure eligibility documentation and compliance.
