Job summary

Career Team is hiring an Adult and Dislocated Worker Career Advisor to work onsite in Merced, CA. You will provide career counseling, intensive case management, and follow-up services under the supervision of the Executive Director.

You will assess needs, develop Individual Employment Plans, connect clients to training and job opportunities, and maintain accurate case files. Salary is $26–$27 per hour, with benefits and up to 25% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong communication skills and knowledge about community resources.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities with sound decision-making.
• Computer literacy with MS Word and Excel at minimum; ability to learn databases and software.

Responsibilities

• Provide information and case management services to the community.
• Complete intake and eligibility determination for the workforce program.
• Assess jobseekers’ employment and training needs through interviewing and testing.
• Guide job seekers through Individual Employment Plans based on goals.
• Maintain accurate case files and ensure eligibility documentation.
