Career Team in Snohomish County, WA is seeking a Career Advisor to provide counseling, intensive case management, and follow-up services under the WIOA Program Lead. This full-time, onsite role helps job seekers achieve employment goals.

You will handle intake and eligibility, assess needs, guide IEPs, connect participants with training and jobs, and maintain accurate records to meet program benchmarks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher or equivalent education/experience
• Strong communication skills and knowledge about community resources
• Must be computer literate with MS Word and Excel and able to learn specialized databases/software
• Ability to work with a culturally diverse customer base and be culturally sensitive
• Valid Driver’s License

Responsibilities

• Provide information and case management services to the community
• Complete intake and eligibility determination for the workforce programs
• Assess career seekers’ employment, abilities, and training needs through interviewing, testing, and other methods
• Serve as a liaison between workforce development programs and community partners
• Enter data into and process career seekers through participant information systems
• Guide career seekers through individual employment plans based on their goals
• Keep up-to-date with labor market trends and best practices
• Counsel career seekers on job opportunities, training programs, and other services
• Refer individuals to appropriate services and follow up on activities
• Conduct orientation sessions, workshops, and job clubs for career seekers
• Maintain accurate case files ensuring eligibility documents are complete and compliant
• Meet and/or exceed program benchmarks
• Participate in staff events and meetings
