Job summary

MasTec Civil, LLC is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for a heavy civil/bridge project in Charlotte, NC. The role supports the Project Executive with daily management, scheduling, and contract administration on a major transportation project.

The ideal candidate has a civil engineering or construction science background, 5+ years in heavy highway work, and strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency with P6 Primavera, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and MS Office is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction science and management.
• 5+ years of heavy highway experience; 2+ years of progressive PM experience preferred.
• PE registration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule project activities; adjust plans as needed.
• Lead on-site progress meetings and document submission.
• Staff the project and mentor junior engineers.
• Review contracts, invoices, and cost reports; manage change orders.
• Control project cost and manage subcontractors and vendors.
• Maintain project records, logs, photos, and meeting minutes.
• Represent the company professionally and enforce safety standards.
