Job summary

Encore Global seeks a Technician to set up and operate basic audiovisual systems in a hospitality environment, coordinating with an Operations Manager or Director of Event Technology. You will ensure smooth events with on-site support and precise equipment handling.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma, 1 year of customer service or AV exposure, and a valid driver’s license. The role involves lifting up to 50 lbs and working flexible hours at hotel/convention sites.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred.
• External applicants must meet/complete all training and certifications within 60 days of start date.
• Internal applicants must meet reviewable training/certification requirements through Encore’s program.
• 1 year of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
• 1 year of audio-visual experience or equivalent in an educational environment preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required for team members that may operate Company vehicles.
• Additional DOT requirements may need to be met if applicable.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Equipment Operation: setup, operation, and breakdown of basic audiovisual equipment.
• Customer Service: exceed expectations and maintain client relationships on site.
• Technical Ability: troubleshoot and resolve basic equipment/software issues.
• Systems Knowledge: accurate paperwork and Navigator entries; coordinate with vendors.
