Job summary

Asset Living is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to oversee daily operations and financial functions of a housing community, under the supervision of the Community Manager. You will manage payments, renewals, screening, leasing, and staff supervision, ensuring compliance with fair housing, safety guidelines, and company policies.

This onsite role requires strong customer service, attention to budget, and the ability to lead a team while maintaining accurate records and delivering resident

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s preferred or 2 years in housing.
• Ability to perform onsite software functions and basic computer skills.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.
• Experience in supervising staff and managing operations.

Responsibilities

• Post payments and reconcile income from residents and applicants.
• Manage accounts receivable and monitor delinquency.
• Assist in budgeting and NOI targets.
• Post charges and bill utilities where applicable.
• Conduct monthly closings and maintain accurate records.
• Inspect properties, process move-ins/outs and refunds.
• Lead onsite staff, coach, and ensure policy compliance.
• Facilitate leasing, show units, and secure renewals.
• Address resident concerns and implement retention programs.
