Job summary

Asset Living is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to oversee daily operations and financials of a housing community, reporting to the Community Manager. You will oversee rent collection, posting charges, and end-of-month close, while supervising onsite staff and ensuring compliance with policies and fair housing rules.

The role emphasizes strategic leasing, resident relations, and coordination of maintenance and administrative tasks to maximize cash flow and occupancy.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred or two years’ housing industry experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to understand and perform onsite software functions.
• Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Financial management: post payments, reconcile receivables, monitor bad debt, and assist meet budgeted revenues and NOI.
• Personnel management: supervise onsite staff, hire/train, and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Strategic leasing management: implement marketing plans, close leases, and manage resident retention initiatives.
• Administrative management: oversee service requests, property appearance, and vendor dealings.
