Job summary

Asset Living seeks an Assistant Community Manager to oversee daily operations and financial functions of a housing community under the Community Manager. You will manage rent collection, accounts receivable, and ensure accurate reporting to optimize cash flow and NOI.

You will supervise onsite staff, ensure compliance, train and coach team, and drive leasing, marketing, and resident retention initiatives while maintaining property standards and fair housing compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred or two years experience in the housing industry; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to understand and perform all onsite software functions; basic computer skills required.
• Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, under the supervision of the Community Manager, the daily operations and financial functions of the housing community.
• Manage posting of payments and income; reconcile accounts receivable; monitor bad debt and prepare late notices.
• Assist in ensuring budgeted revenues/expenses and NOI; manage end-of-month closings; maintain records and conduct unit inspections.
• Develop resident retention programs; handle resident complaints; supervise onsite staff and ensure compliance with policies and safety guidelines.
• Promote effective leasing management and implement marketing plans; ensure timely reporting and documentation.
