Job summary

Asset Living seeks an Assistant Community Manager to oversee daily operations and financial functions of a housing community. You will supervise staff, manage leasing, and ensure compliance with policies and fair housing guidelines.

Responsibilities include rent collection, budgeting, and reporting, with a focus on optimizing cash flow and resident satisfaction. This is an onsite role requiring strong leadership and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or two years housing industry experience.
• Ability to perform onsite software functions; basic computer skills required.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Post payments and income accurately for applicants and residents.
• Process and reconcile daily accounts receivable.
• Monitor bad debt and file evictions as needed.
• Help property meet budgeted revenues, expenses, and NOI.
• Post charges to resident accounts and bill utilities as applicable.
• Complete end-of-month closing procedures and reporting.
• Maintain organized records and audit resident files.
• Walk units and post move-out charges and refunds.
• Screen, hire, train, and develop onsite staff.
• Ensure policy compliance and staff performance.
• Lead leasing: sign leases and manage reporting.
• Execute marketing plans and occupancy strategies.
• Address resident complaints and requests to ensure satisfaction.
• Develop resident retention programs and events.
• Show and lease to prospective residents.
