Job summary

Coastal Carolina Community College is seeking a Full-Time Distance Learning Success Coach to support online students and those in developmental math and English. The role requires coordinating with faculty and staff to promote student retention and degree completion, while providing instructional technology support.

The position includes professional development for faculty on digital platforms and LMSs, and a focus on using a case-management approach to engage distance learners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Three years minimum experience in an education setting.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, MS Office, and digital platforms experience required.
• Canvas Certified Educator preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Technology preferred.
• Experience with Canvas for student support preferred.
• Official transcripts required.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement a comprehensive success model to support distance learning students and developmental math/English students.
• Provide professional development and training for faculty on digital platforms and LMSs.
• Maintain ongoing communication with distance learning students using a case management approach to promote retention and progression.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to advance student success initiatives.
• Serve as a contact and provide hands-on instructional technology support to distance learning students.
• This is a daytime position with some evenings and local travel.
