Job summary

Spectrum Medical Care Center in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Patient Services Specialist to be the first contact and drive the patient experience. You will handle scheduling, registration, eligibility, insurance questions, and financial education in a single interaction, converting inquiries into appointments.

You will manage inbound calls and coordinate with providers to ensure access to care. You will document encounters in the EHR, uphold HIPAA, and participate in ongoing billing/insurance

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with EMR programs.
• Experience working with LGBTQ+ communities living with HIV is strongly preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Handle scheduling, registration, eligibility verification, insurance questions, and financial education.
• Convert inquiries into appointments and reduce barriers to care.
• Answer inbound calls and manage patient interactions from start to finish.
• Document encounters in the EHR and ensure HIPAA compliance.
