Job summary

Texas Oncology in Dallas is seeking a Scheduler to join our Methodist Dallas Cancer Center location. This full-time role schedules patient appointments and tests, handles calls, and serves as the liaison between patients and medical staff to ensure timely, accurate information.

Under supervision, you will manage referrals, coordinate with physicians, collect co-pays, and assist with pre-certifications and scheduling of procedures while upholding patient confidentiality and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and scheduling preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Answers all incoming calls; directs to appropriate personnel.
• Schedules new patients, referrals and returning patients in system per guidelines.
• Obtains and enters insurance authorization and referrals in EMR.
• Collects co-pays, deductibles and other out-of-pocket amounts.
• Maintains scheduling templates and coordinates with physician offices.
