Job summary

US Oncology Network is seeking a Scheduler to join Texas Oncology in Arlington, Dallas, or Irving. This full-time role schedules patient appointments and tests, handles incoming calls, and coordinates with medical staff to ensure timely care.

The ideal candidate will have office experience (three years preferred), strong communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. No weekend or holiday shifts; standard hours 8:30am–5:00pm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum three years office experience, preferably in a medical office setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Answers all incoming calls; assesses callers’ needs and directs to appropriate personnel.
• Schedules new patients, patient referrals and returning patients in the system.
• Obtains and enters insurance authorizations and referrals in patient charts/EMR.
• Collects co-pays, deductibles and other out-of-pocket amounts at visit time.
• Maintains scheduling templates and coordinates with doctors regarding availability.
