Job summary

The US Oncology Network is hiring a Scheduler to support the Texas Oncology Ft Worth, TX clinic. This full-time role runs 8:30a-5:00p, Monday through Friday, and involves scheduling patient appointments, tests, and referrals in the EMR, with a focus on accuracy and patient confidentiality.

You will answer calls, coordinate with physicians and staff, collect co-pays, and ensure smooth front-office operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 0-3 years' experience preferably in a medical office setting.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and coding a plus.
• Must have excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) required.
• Level 2 requires minimum three years office experience, preferably in a medical office setting.
• Level Sr requires minimum five years office experience, preferably in a medical office setting.

Responsibilities

• Answers all incoming calls; assess callers' needs and direct to appropriate personnel.
• Schedules new patients, patient referrals and returning patients in computer system.
• Obtains and enters insurance authorization and referrals in EMR.
• Collects co-pays, deductible and other out-of-pocket amounts at time of visit.
• Maintains primary office scheduling template with physician meetings and satellite schedule.
• Arranges for patients to have financial counseling as needed.
