Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 0-3 years’ experience in a medical office setting preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and coding a plus.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments and tests in the EMR system and maintain accurate records.
• Answer incoming calls and direct to appropriate personnel; communicate messages promptly.
• Act as liaison between patient and medical staff; support front office functions as needed.
• Obtain insurance authorizations and referrals; collect co-pays and out-of-pocket amounts.
• Prepare correspondence, forms and scheduling documentation as requested by supervisor.
