Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Patient Services Representative – Oncology for a full-time day shift in Illinois. You will greet patients, verify insurance, collect co-pays, and complete patient registration while delivering high-quality service over the phone and in person.

You’ll also answer calls, schedule appointments, and coordinate outside testing to keep the office running smoothly. You will act as a liaison between patients and the practice, protect patient confidentiality, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Zero (0) to two (2) years’ experience in a customer service position.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients as they enter the office, registers them, verifies insurance, and collects co-pays.
• Answers phone calls and schedules appointments.
• Directs and documents patient calls as appropriate.
• Coordinates scheduling of outside testing for patients.
• Serves as liaison between patient and practice.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and ensures accurate chart preparation.
