Job summary

Duke Health is seeking an Oncology New Patient Coordinator (NPC) to manage patient registration, scheduling, and record collection for new oncology patients. The NPC will coordinate care activities, ensure accurate data, and support a positive patient experience.

Position located at Duke Raleigh with support for Duke Health Lake Norman Hospital; hours are Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5pm, on-site in Raleigh, NC. Experience in cancer care scheduling and EPIC is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in health care scheduling or call center support is required.
• Ability to independently prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Register new oncology patients and collect demographics and insurance information.
• Schedule appointments ensuring appropriate disease group and provider team.
• Coordinate and review records from multiple sources and upload to Epic/EHR systems.
• Educate patients on cancer care processes and scheduling guidelines.
