Job summary

ViaPath Technologies is seeking a Part-Time Telecommunications Site Technician to join the Field Services team. This role provides remedial repair, preventive maintenance, and system reliability services at customer sites within an assigned territory.

You’ll work independently under the Field Service Manager and travel as needed. This 20-hour-per-week position is on-site Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM–1:00 PM, not remote.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of related experience.
• Proficient in Windows OS and Microsoft Office.
• Telephony and Networking experience (copper, CAT5/6, fiber).
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel.
• Able to lift up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Security-conscious environment exposure and OT flexibility.
• Excellent problem-solving and data gathering skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as ambassador for ViaPath when meeting customers and ensure service excellence.
• Maintain ViaPath products at assigned sites and support customers as needed.
• Prioritize and plan service calls; communicate updates and escalate when needed.
• Replace telephony hardware and network components; pull cable and install devices.
• Administer kiosk service, collect payments, and handle jams/deposits as required.
• Troubleshoot by defining problems, collecting data, and supporting action on hardware/software.
• Handle special projects and be prepared for overtime and callouts.
