Job summary

ViaPath is seeking a Telecommunication Technician 3 (Site Admin Technician 3) to join the Field Services team. Based at client site, travel to other sites as needed to maintain system reliability and perform remedial repair and preventive maintenance.

You will replace telephony hardware, pull cables, install devices, and administer kiosk service and collections across a geographic territory with occasional overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2-4 years of related field experience.
• Proficient in Windows OS and MS Office.
• Telephony and Networking wiring knowledge (CAT5/6, fiber).

Responsibilities

• Serve as ambassador for ViaPath with customers and demonstrate service excellence.
• Responsible for service of ViaPath products at assigned customer sites and assist customers as needed.
• Prioritize and plan assigned service calls.
• Communicate updates for service calls.
• Escalate problems when appropriate.
• Interact professionally with customers to foster relationships.
• Serve as point of contact for facility staff on customer account issues.
• Replace telephony hardware and network components; basic maintenance.
• Pull cable, mount network devices, install telephony hardware.
• Administer kiosk service and collections; deposit monies as needed.
• Perform basic troubleshooting: define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw conclusions; assist Technical Support with corrective action.
• Troubleshoot wiring: trace/repair/replace damaged wiring; work on 66-Blocks or Cutoff Switches.
• Handle special projects as assigned by Field Service Manager.
• Overtime and callouts may be required.
• Foster an effective team environment.
• Troubleshoot video visitation issues with technology support guidance.
• Troubleshoot tablet functionality and Wi-Fi connectivity.
• Return damaged or inoperable equipment per RMAs.
