Job summary

ViaPath Technologies is seeking a Telecommunications Site Technician to join our Field Services team. This on-site role is based at the customer facility in Allentown, PA, and involves remedial repair, preventive maintenance, and system reliability work across an assigned territory.

You will replace telephony hardware, pull cables, install devices, troubleshoot video sessions and tablet connectivity, and uphold exemplary service while coordinating with customers and the ViaPath Technical Support

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2-4 years related experience.
• Experience troubleshooting and ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Proficient in Windows OS, MS Office and other required software programs.
• Proficient with Telephony and Networking, including copper, CAT5/6, and fiber optic wiring.
• Knowledge of wiring color code and data cabling fabrication.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel to various customer sites.
• Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds with assistance and occasional overtime.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a positive Ambassador for ViaPath and demonstrate Service Excellence.
• Responsible for overall service of ViaPath products at customer sites.
• Prioritize and plan assigned service calls.
• Communicate updates on service calls.
• Escalate problems when appropriate.
• Interact professionally with customers to foster relationships.
• Act as point of contact for facility staff regarding customer accounts.
• Replace telephony hardware and network components; basic maintenance.
• Pull cables, mount network devices, install telephony hardware.
• Administer kiosk service and collections; handle deposits as needed.
• Troubleshoot to define problems and assist Technical Support with corrective actions.
