Job summary

Berthel Fisher Companies is seeking a full-time on-site tech support professional in Cedar Rapids, IA or nearby. You will assist clients in person, over the phone and via remote tools while maintaining exceptional customer service.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or equivalent, at least 2 years in technology support, and strong communication and organizational skills. Office amenities and benefits are provided; typical 8 AM–5 PM schedule, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 2 years of technology support experience.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and solid organizational abilities.
• Initiative; able to work collaboratively or independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance to clients in person, by phone, and via remote support tools while delivering excellent customer service.
• Support third-party vendor applications, operating systems, LAN connectivity, servers and printers, mobile devices, and commercial software packages.
• Learn functions and operation of new products, systems, and equipment.
• Continuously seek ways to improve processes, reduce turnaround time, streamline workflows, and enhance service quality.
• Use diagnostic software, reference materials, vendors and hands-on experience to troubleshoot issues and offer guidance.
