Job summary

Hensel Phelps is seeking a Quality Control Manager for an on-site role on a large commercial construction project. The role collaborates with project superintendents, PMs, and PS to implement a comprehensive QC program and resolve issues.

Qualifications

• A 4-year degree in civil or structural engineering, architecture or construction management, or similar experience in a related position.
• Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience on large commercial construction projects
• Valid Driver’s License
• Computer software - Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel based templates, Prolog, Primavera and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the start-up and implementation of the six-step quality control/safety process
• Lead the weekly QC meetings
• Review and maintain the project quality process log (QPL)
• Interface directly with owner's quality assurance and management on all quality-related issues
• Submit and review RFIs to ensure changes are implemented in the field
• Coordinate third party testing agency activities with Hensel Phelps and the trade partners
• Evaluation and development of QC personnel.

Education

A 4-year degree in civil or structural engineering, architecture or construction management, or similar experience in a related position
