Job summary

Hensel Phelps is seeking a Quality Control Manager to implement and manage the QC program across one or more large commercial projects. The role requires coordinating QC engineers, resolving issues with project management, and promoting quality control initiatives with the project team.

The ideal candidate holds a civil/structural engineering or construction management degree with 5–7 years of experience, strong communication, and proficiency in Excel, Prolog, Primavera and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• A 4-year degree in civil or structural engineering, architecture or construction management, or similar experience.
• Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience on large commercial construction projects.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Strong communication skills.
• Computer software—MS Office (Excel) and project tools: Prolog, Primavera and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the start-up and implementation of the six-step quality control/safety process.
• Lead the weekly QC meetings and coordinate site‑specific quality program elements.
• Review inspection reports, punch lists, and close‑out inspection results.
• Interface with owner's quality assurance and management on quality issues.
• Submit and review RFIs to ensure changes are implemented in the field.
• Coordinate third party testing agency activities with partners.
