Job summary

Hensel Phelps is seeking a Quality Control Manager to implement and manage the QC program across one or more projects, coordinating multiple QC engineers and working closely with the PM and PS to resolve issues and keep stakeholders satisfied.

This safety‑sensitive position requires a civil/structural engineering degree, 5–7 years on large commercial projects, strong communication, and proficiency with Excel, Prolog, Primavera and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• A 4-year degree in civil or structural engineering, architecture or construction management.
• Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience on large commercial construction projects.
• Valid Driver’s License and strong communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel-based templates, Prolog, Primavera and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the start-up and implementation of the six-step quality control/safety process.
• Lead the weekly QC meetings and coordinate site quality activities.
• Review inspection reports, punch lists, and close-out documentation.
• Interface with owner's QA and management on quality issues.
• Ensure changes are documented and compliant with plans and codes.
• Coordinate third-party testing and schedule, including RFIs.
