Job summary

Rural Communities Housing Development Corporation seeks an On-Site Property Manager to organize daily operations of an apartment complex, verify compliance with regulations, and coordinate tenant services to build healthy communities.

The role requires live-on-site housing, with a two-bedroom apartment and utilities provided as additional compensation. Schedule is Monday–Friday, about 30 hours weekly, with training and occasional overnight stays as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in tenant management and compliance with housing programs.
• Ability to work with low-income individuals and multi-cultural groups.
• USDA Rural Development Manager Certification within six months (employer cost).

Responsibilities

• Review tenant applications for eligibility and maintain waiting lists.
• Process rent and security deposits with accounting staff.
• Complete lease forms and document occupancy terms.
• Turn vacant units quickly and monitor maintenance progress.
• Attend trainings and meetings as required by RCHDC.
• Provide local information about schools, transport and services.
• Coordinate community events and social programs at the property.
• Enforce occupancy rules per policy and manage audits and reports.
