Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to maintain the physical aspects of a Garden property, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and functionality of buildings and amenities.

Role includes completing work orders, prepare-ready processes for leasing, inventory management, and routine property inspections. Requires EPA refrigerant certifications and a valid driver's license; onsite schedule with on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling
• State and Local jurisdiction certifications as required
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property if applicable

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs per safety and code requirements.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing, including pre-move-out inspections, punch list creation, and coordinating vendors.
• Follows procedures to access materials and track inventory, returning unused items and notifying supervisor on re-ordering needs.
• Maintains documentation to ensure service requests are tracked and archived accurately.
• Assists in grounds, common areas, and amenity upkeep (trash pickup, pressure-washing, cleaning, painting).
• Supports cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts when possible and using tools and materials efficiently.
