Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to support Avana Tempe in maintaining building systems, grounds, and common areas. The role requires diagnosing issues, completing work orders, and managing the make-ready process for new move-ins, with attention to safety and policies.

The position includes handling inventory, coordinating with vendors, and documenting work performed. EPA refrigerant certifications and a valid driver’s license are required, with on-site duties and potential for shift

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.
• All certifications as required by State and Local jurisdictions.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders and preventive maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs per policies and safety standards.
• Handles make-ready tasks for vacant units, including inspections, punch lists, and coordinating vendors and materials.
• Manages materials via inventory, requisitions, and returns; notifies supervisor for re-orders.
• Documents service requests accurately for tracking and reporting.
• Maintains grounds and common areas, assists with cleaning, painting, and curb/signage maintenance as needed.
• Supports cost-control by repairing parts rather than replacing when feasible and using tools correctly.
