Job summary

Asset Living is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support our Springfield community with routine, preventive, cosmetic, and emergency maintenance under supervision. You will help with make-ready tasks and ensure safety and quality in common areas and units.

Responsibilities include responding to work orders, maintaining pool and grounds, inspecting facilities daily, keeping accurate records, and assisting the supervisor with inventory and on-call coverage.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Community Maintenance
• Respond to resident/management requests and work orders for community common areas, buildings, and units in a timely manner
• Assist with the scheduling and performance of all maintenance/repair-related turn events
• Assist in the daily clean up of the exterior of the community, including grounds, breezeways, and all common areas
• Perform swimming pool maintenance and cleaning and maintain accurate, timely chemical logs
• Inspect grounds, buildings, and other community features daily to identify hazards
• Maintain preventative maintenance program to extend the life of the community
• Maintain well-organized maintenance shop adhering to safety standards and OSHA guidelines
• Participate in unit inspections as requested
• Report observed violations to Maintenance Supervisor/Community Manager
• On-call emergency at community
• Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies as requested
• Maintain records regarding service requests, EPA/OSHA standards, and make-ready status
• Maintain general upkeep of office, common areas, and model unit
• Enforce community policies delegated by supervisor
• Provide customer & resident relations and ensure service request turnaround
