Job summary

Canon U.S.A., Inc. seeks a field service technician to diagnose and repair Canon imaging solutions across Downtown Brooklyn, Long Island City and Midtown Manhattan. You will work in a customer‑facing role providing on‑site and shop maintenance with adherence to Canon standards.

You must have a HS diploma or GED, 1–2 years of related experience, and the ability to travel with a valid driver's license. The role requires 24/7 shift work, on‑call rotations, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience; 1–2 years related experience.
• Basic understanding of internet environments and the ability to complete the 120-day introductory period and the PDIF new-hire class.
• Ability to travel (valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record).
• Capable of 24/7 environment, shift work, and on-call rotations.
• Must take steps to obtain security and/or other customer-required clearances.
• Lift 50 pounds and stay active >50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose basic mechanical, software, network, and system failures using established procedures.
• Service and repair designated equipment to Canon standards and specifications.
• Maintain working knowledge of multiple product groups and troubleshooting basics.
• Meet customer demands with efficient, responsive, and accurate field/shop/on-site maintenance.
• Maintain Field Service Reports, Expense Reports, and Canon property assigned.
• Provide direction to less experienced technicians and escalate technical issues when needed.
