Job summary

Canon U.S.A., Inc. seeks a customer-facing field service technician to diagnose and repair Canon equipment across multiple product groups. You will travel to customer premises, work in a 24/7 environment, and handle on-site maintenance with adherence to customer policies.

The role requires a HS Diploma or equivalent, 1–2 years of related experience, and the ability to obtain necessary clearances. A flexible, physical, and customer-focused mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience, plus 1 to 2 years of related experience.
• Basic understanding of internet environments and completion of the 120-day introductory period and the PDIF new-hire class.
• Ability to travel (valid driver's license and acceptable driving record).
• Capable of working in a 24/7 environment with shift work and on-call rotations.
• Must take steps to obtain security and/or other clearances required by customers to enter premises.
• Must lift 50 pounds and be active more than 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose basic mechanical, software, network, and system failures using established procedures.
• Service and repair designated equipment to Canon standards and specifications.
• Maintain knowledge of multiple product groups and basic troubleshooting.
• Meet and exceed customer demands with efficient, responsive, and accurate field/on-site maintenance.
• Maintain all technical information, field service reports, expense reports, and Canon property.
• Provide direction to less experienced technicians.
• Provide solutions for escalated technical and/or customer-service issues for any territory.
